September Toddler Bears

Alrighty - This is a HUGE blog post - but it is 90% photos, so feel free to just scroll away and enjoy the images :) These toddler bears are all part of our September 2017 batch. The commissioning collectors for this batch will have first choice, then the bears remaining will go up for general adoption. We'll let you know who's left as soon as we know! 

For now, we'll do a little run down of the details for each of these bears for the collectors who are here to browse the photos and choose their babies ;)

This big boy is our 22" Toddler design, made in a piece of gorgeous dense Schulte curly mohair that we hand-dyed a warm ginger-chestnut colour on a darker pile, with a complementing creamy-beige colour (also hand-dyed by us). He's fully T-pin jointed, looks out through big black glass eyes and has a matching hand embroidered ginger perle cotton nose. He has 3D pulled 'peek-a-boo' toes and fingers and is well stuffed with polyfill, glass and steel shot. He weighs a decent 4lb 2oz and comes with his brand new designer baby outfit (which includes real suspenders, a separate shirt/pants combo and a little tie!) and his solid wooden giraffe toy. 

This bear is as yet unnamed, a one of a kind piece, and his adoption fee is AU$590 plus postage.

This is another 22" toddler design bear - this time made in some of our ivory white Schulte curlylocks mohair that we hand-washed before cutting her out to give it a little extra curl. She looks out through big black glass eyes and has a hand-embroidered black perle cotton nose. She's fully T-pin jointed and weighted to a medium-heaviness using polyfill, glass shot and enclosed steel shot. She weighs 3lb 4oz, which is still a good weight for a bear her size. She has beautifully detailed hands and feet with 3D detailing and tufts of mohair between the pads. She comes with her brand new silvery-grey dress with matching headband, and her little grey teddy friend.

This handsome big fellow is yet another 22" toddler bear design. We've made him using two experimental dyed colours of Schulte curlylocks mohair - a soft winter-pear green mohair on a beige backing with a silvery-grey mohair on a redwood backing. The two colours are surprisingly beautiful together and give this fellow a very soft appeal. He looks out through big black glass eyes and has a wonderfully colour-matched hand embroidered perle cotton nose. His is fully T-pin jointed and very well stuffed with polyfill, glass and steel shot - weighing in at a decent 4lbs. His hands and paws are cut from the silvery/redwood mohair, showing off the backing colour with lovely big 3D pad detailing. He wears a chunky grey knit baby cardigan with cotton lining and double-breasted buttons on the front and comes with his gorgeous brand new lamb comforter toy - also in grey tones.

This is another 22" toddler design bear - this time made in some different Schulte mohair - a 40mm distressed pile in a combo of cream and warm honey-gold. She looks out through big black glass eyes and has a hand-embroidered warm brown perle cotton nose. She's fully T-pin jointed and weighted to a little heavier weight then standard using polyfill, glass shot and enclosed steel shot. She weighs 4lb 2oz, which is still a surprising weight for a bear her size. She has beautifully detailed hands and feet with 3D 'peek-a-boo' toes. She comes with her brand new baby ruffle-sleeve romper in a gorgeous crimson floral print on a white backing with a big matching head bow, and her little mickey mouse Tsum Tsum toy (new with tags).

This is another 22" toddler design bear - this time made in some medium pile straight alpaca fur in a natural ivory white and a hand-dyed mottled buttery-gold pile on a warm peachy/pink backing. She looks out through big black glass eyes and has a hand-embroidered buttery gold perle cotton nose. She's fully T-pin jointed and medium-weighted using polyfill, glass shot and enclosed steel shot. She weighs 3lb 4oz, which is a nice weight for a bear her size. She has beautifully detailed hands and feet with 3D pads and toes and tufts of fur between the pads - showing off the unusual backing colouring of her hand-dyed alpaca. She comes with her brand new ruffle-collar romper in a gorgeous pink and coral floral print, a rose gold faux-diamonte crown on pink elastic around her head and a faux crystal pink and white dummy (made from glass) with it's own little keepsake box.

This little guy is actually our smaller 18" Toddler design - and he has been made in some of our earthy brown curly kid mohair with a darker tipping. He looks out through big black glass eyes with hand-sculpted dark brown polymer clay eye lids and has a big hand-embroidered dark brown nose. He features our stunning 3D detailed paw pads with pulled toes and tufts of mohair between the pads. He is fully T-pin jointed and very well stuffed and weighed with poylfill and steel shot - weighing in at a very chunky 4lb 2oz. He comes with a super cute striped black and white baby overalls-romper with copper applique detailing and a solid wooden giraffe toy.

And this is our last little guy - another of the smaller 18" toddler designs. He is made from some ivory white Schulte curlylocks mohair and some of our unique hand-dyed 'winter pear' green curlylocks mohair. We've given him a slightly darker winter-pear green hand embroidered perle cotton nose and big black glass eyes. He's fully T-pin jointed and stuffed with a combo of polyfill, glass and enclosed steel shot - weighing in at 2lb 6oz. He has our unique, detailed hand-pulled 3D toes and fingers with tufts of mohair between the pads. He wears a brand new Pumpkin Patch designer baby shirt in lime greens with buttons in the same winter-green as his nose. He comes with his solid wooden doggy toy.
