Six brand new fairy bears

These little cuties were an idea I had back in January this year, and that I have been quietly working on between custom orders, bear shows and other 'for general adoption' pieces.

But this week seemed like just as good a week as any to get them finished - and so we set about sculpting many, many toes, setting 6 sets of over-sized eyes, closing 30 stuffing seams and choosing the right wings for each bear's unique colouring.

The result was this gorgeous collection of chubby 9" Fairy bears. Nearly all of them have found their new homes now, but we do have the little guy in the centre-middle named 'Tyro' still available.

Elias - and his kits

This quirky little guy is 'Elias'. He has been made from a trio of scruffy antique-style mohair pieces, and our 'Red' pattern. He is now adopted, but we do have a few kits available if you'd like to make one of these bears yourself.

April - custom bear

Another of our most recently completed custom bears - this big girl has been named 'April' by her new mum. April has been inspired by one of our previous bears named 'Hank' - made in the same funky three-tone faux fur (which is getting quite low in stock now). Hank was made from our Belarius design, whereas April has been made using our 'Alivea' design with the shorter legs, chubbier belly, big chunky head and broader muzzle.

April is adopted :)

Moonstone and Giovani - brand new Emma's Bears KITS

This week we managed to squeeze some KIT Example bears in amongst the custom orders - and finished up this big girl called 'Moonstone', and a smaller all-alpaca fellow further below named 'Giovani'.

We only have limited stock of these kits as we're running a little low on the alpaca at present, but if you'd like to grab one you'll find the kits on our website.

Moonstone is probably best suited to more experienced bear makers, but Giovani would make a good beginner kit.

Primrose - Easter Bunny 2017

This little lady is 'Primrose' our Easter bunny for 2017

We made her using one of our older designs (not a released pattern yet though, sorry), and some of our hand-dyed long pile alpaca in soft Easter colours. She has found her new home.
