Trio of Boys - Huntley, Hollis and Hendrix

I did it! I finally got some BEARS finished! That's what we're all here to see after all!

These three are made from our newest mohair stock. I really wanted to show off how perfect this tipped and distressed fur is for older style/antiqued bears.

This little guy is Hendrix. He's made in a mix of 'Porcelain Frost' and 'Emma's Grizzly. I hadn't intended to mix and match the colours at first, but as I was assembling the bears it just felt right. They really do look so gorgeous as a trio now too!

This is Hollis. He's made in a mix of 'Sahara Sunset' and 'Porcelain Frost'. I just love the contrast with the green/blue cotton collar too.

And Last but not least, we have Huntley. He is made from 'Emma's Grizzly' and 'Sahara Sunset'. I think he ended up with the most serious expression too. So cute!

All of these fabrics can be purchased in our etsy store, along with a variety of other colours in the same pile type as well - so you could do even more mixing and matching!

The new look blog

I'm going to be pretty bold and assume that if you're reading this blog post, you've probably noticed the new website set up!?

I decided that as part of my mission to improve this page, I wanted a whole new look for the blog as well. Again - something I would never have thought I was capable of doing myself. But I did! And I am so proud to call this little corner of cyberspace my own.

So - now that all the site modification is out of the way, I can get back to work on my secret show bears, and the last pink bear (you might be able to see his/her head rolling around at the back of this photo. I promise to have photos of a finished 'Mr Pinky' to you by the end of the week.

You better hold me to it as well. My procrastination levels have hit 'uni student' heights lately! ;)

About Me

I've finished my first stand alone page for the 'new and improved' Inner World of Emma's Bears Blog/Website. And what better way to start than with an 'About Me' section. Feel free to check it out and let me know if you think I need more information in there? (It's really late here, and my tired, fuzzy brain can't concentrate any more!).

Thank you Joanne from DesertMountainBear

I am sure you guys know of Joanne at Desertmountainbear. She is that incredibly talented, generous with her time/knowledge, and just generally awesome lady who makes THE MOST realistically detailed bears around. She recently blogged about turning her blog into a website - or rather being able to link it with her pre-existing website. I was fascinated! I meant to email her and ask her how on earth she did it, but then she put a link to a tutorial on wayne's blog from Wayneston Bears! Problem solved!

So for the last few evenings I have been putting these new found skills to good use improving my guinea pig website as a practice run for this one. I think I'm finally pretty happy with how my piggy page looks - so stay tuned for some changes around here shortly!
