We had a custom request to make a small, fluffy Tissavel bear recently - and for some reason my brain missed one of the crucial aspects of the design that the collector requested - full cheeks. So I was sitting there setting the eyes into this little one, when I suddenly realised that trimmed back staring back at me wasn't right for what was ordered! We sent a photo to the collector - but as suspected, this little one wasn't quite what she was after. So we called this teddy 'Bingo' and she's now available on our website as a ready-to-ship bear :)
So then we thought we'd try again.... (Scroll down!)
... and this was attempt number two. This little one is the exact same design (our 'Willa/Attila' pattern), and nearly the exact same Tissavel fur, just a different colouring, but this time we remembered to give him very fat little sculpted cheeks. He looks out through a pair of our hand painted glass eyes and is ridiculously heavy for his size! Hopefully this time he'll be just right ;)

How gorgeous is that fat little face!? This teddy is our newest creation - and she has been named 'Shiitake' by her new mum! How perfect is that for a mushroom coloured mohair panda bear!?
Shiitake is made using our 'Delight' pattern, and her mohair is a mix of a limited edition mushroom coloured long pile mohair, and our equally longpile white mohair 'Gunther'. We're a little low on Gunther stock right now, but we're expecting a new shipment in October - so we might be able to offer kits then if anyone is interested :)
The mushroom mohair was a limited edition colour, and we bought out the remainder of the stockist's supply - so once it has sold out we won't be able to restock this one. Grab it while you can!

This was what we got up to this weekend ;) So far 3 of the 4 rainbow bears have been claimed - it's just the white-headed teddy we're still waiting for confirmation on. But we'll let you know if this changes and she does come up for adoption.
Enjoy the photos :)

This big girl is 'Brimley' - so named by her new mum :) She has been made using our 'Jumbo' pattern (just reduced down to 75% to give a slightly smaller, but no less cuddly bear), and our long white and limited edition animal print faux fur.
She's quite an unusual big girl - but I couldn't stop staring at her when I had her finished and sitting up on the back of our couch. I'd walk into the room and my eyes would instantly be drawn to her again. She's one of those bears who look so much better in person then in photos I think!
