Audrey and Declan

Meet Audrey and Declan. These guys were custom requested bears that didn't turn out quite right for their commisioning collector - so we are offering them up for general adoption. They're both made from the same wispy/wavy gold mohair paired with a STUNNING 22mm pile ivory alpaca. They're made using the same design with just a few tweaks to the final touches to make them look different. They would look fantastic paired together because they are so similar, but will display just as nicely on their own.

New Kits!

We made a few new kit bears during the week  - this super cute little cherub above using our new 'Maverick' faux fur and our 'Ace of Spades' black fur. The pattern is our 'FREE' pattern (available for instant download at the top left of this blog). You can find the full kit for this cute 12" bear in our esty store for only AUD$33 plus postage. One of our best value kits available.

We also made up this big boy using our very versatile  'Alivia' pattern. He is made up in our new 100mm pile 'Atlantis' and 'Cloud Dancer' faux fur fabrics. We left his cheeks long and natural which adds to his wise expression (and makes it so much easier to complete his face when making his kit as you don't have to scissor sculpt cheeks!).

Mr Sunshine

Meet Mr Sunshine. A cheeky little commisoned bear heading off to his new home in the USA. He was a delight to make!

Luna

This big girl is Luna. I am in love with her. She is made from a piece of mohair we dyed as a bit of an experiment - and it was just so pretty that I had to make a bear out of it immediately!

Luna is 17" tall, fully jointed, looks out through black glass eyes and has a sweet turquoise embroidered nose.

Luna is available for adoption. :)

Baby Emma

This sweet girl was another of our latest custom orders. She is our baby-bear style creation with the wobbly, heavy head and the curled up limbs. Baby Emma weighed in at 5lbs 6oz and was made in a STUNNING piece of long, straight pile gold mohair I found. Her mum requested a lilac nose and we gave her lilac accessories to match - including her little Pumpkin Patch onesie with lilac fairies all over it!

Baby Emma is adopted - but if you'd like something like her made for you, just let us know :)

English Rose

The first example bear has been completed out of our newest faux fur. And she is stunning!!! 

This is 'English Rose'. We used our 18" Alivia design and a 1/2m piece of the new English Rose faux fur to achieve this cuteness. The bear herself has since found a new home, but we do have a kit available for her if you'd like to try making one yourself?

NEW FUR!!!!!

It feels like it has been FOREVER in the works - but our new batch of custom selected faux fur has finally arrived! We hand selected (and deliberated for weeks) all six of these new furs. The stunning turquoise one you see before you was colour matched to our feature walls - a stunning Pantone coloured called 'Atlantis'. It has a 100mm pile and I can not wait to get a bear made out of it!

This one is a very dense, very white curly mongolian style faux fur. The Pantone colour for this one is called 'Blanc de blanc', and it is a very cool white. All of our previous 'white' faux fur fabrics have been rather warm in tone, but this one will pair nicely with the blues, greens and purples of our other stock. Or, it will work just as well as a stand-alone fabric.

I can actually see this one making stunning photography props for newborn shoots.

This one is the same 100mm pile length as the turquoise 'Atlantis', but in a lovely fresh white. Pantone colour 'Cloud Dancer'. This one actually looks really nice as a throw rug on our couch... I might have to save a piece just for that purpose!

And this one is MY pick. Mark wasn't convinced, but I think it is lovely. It is a SUPER curly, rather dense pink mongolian faux fur with a darker pink tip. I fell in love with this fur because the curl is so pretty. It's a looser curl at the bottom of the pile where the colour is lighter, then as the pink gradually get darker towards the tip the curl gets tighter and spirals. The pile is quite long too - 50mm uncoiled, but it will pull right out to 80mm.

We've called this one 'English Rose'. 

And then we have these stunning animal-replica fur fabrics. This one we've called 'Maverick'. It is a really hard colour to describe but we had to have it. It will be so versatile - great for furnishing projects as well as bears. Even fursuits and costumes and clothing. The pile is very soft to the touch and a simple one-tone with a subtle dark tip.

This one is 'Wolf'. It has a little more going on then the fur above - it has a three-tone pile with a deep base colour, a lighter top and a darker tip. This one also looks great on our couch... I can see a new addiction to throw rugs starting for our coming Aussie winter!!!
