Re-Addicted to eBay...

Hmmm... what was i saying about not visiting/listing on eBay for months and months... perhaps that was a blessing in disguise?! I have just spent the better part of the last hour trawling through the hundreds of awesome bears available... I really want a new bear for myself now!

These are a few of my FAVOURITES that i found tonight:

This is 'Chano'. The one I like the most. But the one I can afford the least! (always the way!)

This is 'Jilly'. Words don't do her justice!

And this is 'Chika'. I'm not usually captured by faux fur bears, but how sweet is that little face!

Panda in Progress

Finished a sad looking little 4" brown and white panda this evening. Mark (my hubby) has named him 'Cecil', but I won't have photos for you until the morning - so stay tuned!

In other news, Chelsea has her second tooth coming through. Which is kind of exciting for me. All of her other baby 'friends' seems to have mouths full of shiny white teeth. And up until this point Chels has just had one little chomper. But soon she'll have a sweet little pair!

(if you click on this photo, then click on it again when it opens in a new window, you can JUST see her little white toothy sticking out!)

Wyatt is on eBay

I haven't listed a bear on eBay in months. Months and Months actually! So long that I've actually lost my selling template, which is annoying! :P

Nevermind - I've decided to reduce Wyatt's price and give him a go. If I remember correctly, I stopped using eBay because bears weren't selling well, and heaps of other bear artists seemed to disappear from it too. But maybe that was just a temporary glitch?

We'll see i suppose!

Day Trip

Mark had the day off today, so we had made plans to go for a drive up to the Sunshine Coast Hinterland (for those of you not local to Brisbane, this is the rainforesty-mountainy area about an hour north of the city, just inland from the gorgeous beaches).

We entrusted our trusty sat-nav to tell us where to go and set off. We took the long way there - which ended up taking about 3 hours, because we stopped at a lookout at one point so I could give Chelsea a feed (which lasted about 3secs because she was too interested in what was happening around her). We took the opportunity to take some photos and visit the cows that were lying about.

(Have I ever mentioned how much i love cows. I think they are so gorgeous. There was one SUPER fat one lying really close to the fence. She wasn't bothered by us at all, and I am assuming that she must have been heavily pregnant because that just wasn't 'normal' cow fatness!)

We eventually got to Montville just after midday, and had lunch at a really cute little restaurant. The owner gave us a little bottle of bubble mix for Chelsea. It was actually the first time she'd ever seen bubbles and she loved them. A little too much. (we had to stop blowing them because her squeals got a bit loud!) She also made a HUGE mess of the charming wooden highchair they supplied. So after trying to clean up as much as I could, we made a hasty exit!

A few more stunning arts and crafts stores later, and it was time for Chelsea's afternoon sleep, and our cue to head home.

New Bear - Muscari

She's finished!

While Chelsea had her extra long Mothers Day morning sleep for me this morning, i finally managed to get the latest bear finished. I've called her 'Muscari' because she is almost the exact same colour as the muscari (hyacinth) flower

Sneak Peek

This is my latest project. He (or she) will have a white with blue tipped mohair head and body, and darker blue batik dyed mohair limbs and ears.

Still deciding whether or not to give him/her coloured eyes (blue seems the most obvious choice) with eyelids, or ordinary black... choices, choices...

Book Giveaway

How awesome is this! Sandi from Bearly Sane - Blog of a Bear Nut, is giving away a copy of the same book I used to get the tips and hints for dying with natural products (Onions and Beetroot so far).

Head on over and check it out.
